Training within the framework of the international study of the World Bank
A four-day training within the framework of the international Business Environment and Enterprise Performance Survey (BEEPS) was held in Tashkent. This is a joint project of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the World Bank (WB). The survey has been conducted every three years in 155 countries around the world for the past 20 years.
The data collected from the project will be used to study private sector development at the global level. In addition, the data will be used to prepare a report that will provide a global comparative analysis of various aspects of the business environment in each World Bank project country.
The training was organized to train interviewers and supervisors who will collect data from businesses throughout Uzbekistan. During the training, models of the survey questionnaires were presented, and the methodology of the enterprise survey and the tools to be used during the project were discussed. Practical exercises for interviewers on the model questionnaire were also conducted.
A similar project was previously implemented by our company in Kyrgyzstan, then in 2024 will be implemented in Tajikistan.
Data collection will be conducted from December 2023 to September 2024. It is planned to survey 1,000 enterprises across the Republic of Uzbekistan.
